Katia Haddad is a writer and playwright. MARIUPOL is the author’s personal response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. John Retallack is an Olivier-award winning writer and theatre director with a career spanning over forty years.

Responsible for all music and sound effects for the production, including:

• Adapting and sampling a range of recorded music demanded by the text

• Detailed preparation of spatialised sound effects for extended scenes set in an air raid bunker.
